MARINICA CLAIM FOR MORE TIME

Malawi national football coach Mario Marinica has claimed for more time to bring positive change in football.

According to the times group, Marinica is calling this philosophy as 'fast and very fast philosophy' and said that it will become more effective across the board.
"This is a philosophy which needs to be deviced across the board from under 17, 20, 23 and all super league teams and then at the national team.

Marinica mentioned Gabadinho Mhango as the player who has been equipped with his philosophy.

Speaking to the times group, former flames forward peterkins Kayira disagreed with Marinicas philosophy to take five years period for it to succeed

"Firstly I do not understand when he says 'fast and very fast football'. This is what we have been doing as a country. Malawi football is about playing fast and attacking football spiced by passing.

According to Malawi24 National Coaches Association Aubrey Kankhuni agreed with Kayira saying that the focus should dwell much on preparations ahead of the Afcon qualifiers instead of debating on Marinicas Football style.

"One year to me is enough for a coach to set his philosophy and start getting results but I am much more concerned with how we can help coach to beat Egypt.

NYAMILANDU LAUNCHES TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Nyamilandu speaking to young stars Football Association of Malawi (Fam) President Walter Nyamilandu says the Fifa-funded Talent Development Scheme (TDS) will help improve national football team players. According to the Times Group, Nyamilandu, speaking during the launch of the scheme at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, said the scheme will facilitate the supply of quality players to the national football team.   “For a long time, we have failed to produce enough complete players for both the national team and export to top leagues abroad because we lacked players that have various attributes such as good physique, height and skills,” he said. BLANTYRE DURBY ENDS IN DRAW

During the game The first Blantyre derby of 2023 failed to produce a winner as Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a goalless draw by rival Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon. According to Malawi24 nomads dominated the first half while BB enjoyed the closing stage of the second half, but there was nothing to separate the two teams in full time.
