MTUKULE TO TEST HERSELF IN A BIG LEGUE

Malawi queens Captain Caroline Mtukule Ngwira got a welcome from her new club team Bath as she looks forward to test herself in a big league.

According to the Nation, the goal defender said she is more excited to be part of the team.

Soon after being signed on a season longer deal the star was quoted by teambath.com for saying:
"it is a great pleasure to be joining Team bath and am so honored to have this opportunity.

"it is a big challenge but one I am excited for is that I will do my very best to help bring positive results ", She said.

However the teams coach Asha Francis is so delighted for having this goal defender.

"We are delighted to have Carlo on board. We need to find a goal defender who would not only preform on court, but also add value to the squad and help our younger players to develop", said Asha.

NYAMILANDU LAUNCHES TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Nyamilandu speaking to young stars Football Association of Malawi (Fam) President Walter Nyamilandu says the Fifa-funded Talent Development Scheme (TDS) will help improve national football team players. According to the Times Group, Nyamilandu, speaking during the launch of the scheme at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, said the scheme will facilitate the supply of quality players to the national football team.   “For a long time, we have failed to produce enough complete players for both the national team and export to top leagues abroad because we lacked players that have various attributes such as good physique, height and skills,” he said. BLANTYRE DURBY ENDS IN DRAW

During the game The first Blantyre derby of 2023 failed to produce a winner as Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a goalless draw by rival Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon. According to Malawi24 nomads dominated the first half while BB enjoyed the closing stage of the second half, but there was nothing to separate the two teams in full time.
