SULOM PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES TO CONDUCT DEBATE


Tiya somba Banda-Sulom contester 

Sulom presidential candidates have been given a platform to let the public know their manifestos through debate since there are few days remaining for the super league of Malawi.

One of the Malawi's media house, Zodiak broadcasting station will be incharge of as it is going to submit a part of its air time to host the debate.

ZBS’s Controller of marketing, Emmanuel Maliro confirmed the development to local media station that any day this week they will  engage SULOM president Tiya Somba Banda who will challenge Nyasa Big Bullets Vice President Fleetwood Haiya.

Maliro said the debate which will be live on ZBS platforms has been organised to give the two candidates a chance to tell the country how they will run the country in standardising the local football, Super League in particular.

“It will be exciting, an opportunity for the contestants to sell their ideas and increase visibility in all platforms of ZBS. I am currently talking to contestants.” Said Maliro.

According to Malawi24,Haiya and Somba Banda will face each other on 25 February, 2023 at an AGM which will be held in Mangochi.

NYAMILANDU LAUNCHES TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Nyamilandu speaking to young stars Football Association of Malawi (Fam) President Walter Nyamilandu says the Fifa-funded Talent Development Scheme (TDS) will help improve national football team players. According to the Times Group, Nyamilandu, speaking during the launch of the scheme at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, said the scheme will facilitate the supply of quality players to the national football team.   “For a long time, we have failed to produce enough complete players for both the national team and export to top leagues abroad because we lacked players that have various attributes such as good physique, height and skills,” he said. BLANTYRE DURBY ENDS IN DRAW

During the game The first Blantyre derby of 2023 failed to produce a winner as Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a goalless draw by rival Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon. According to Malawi24 nomads dominated the first half while BB enjoyed the closing stage of the second half, but there was nothing to separate the two teams in full time.
