SPONSORSHIP RENEWAL FOR DEDZA DYNAMOS



 Salima Sugar Company has renewed a K48 million annual sponsorship for Dedza Dynamos with the super league club deal till March next year.

Malawi24 learnt that the deal was set on Wednesday at the company’s offices in Lirongwe during a review meeting by the two.

However secretary to the company Dr. Charles Thupi, the company is glad with the performance of the team and also what they have done outside the field of the play in putting the company’s bland on market.

“They have done beyond our expectations and as a company we had no any other choice but to continue working with them”, said Thupi.

Then he challenged the team to put an extra gear in their performance this season, so as to get the surprises that have been set for it by the company’s Chairperson.

Speaking with Malawi24, General Secretary of the club mabvuto Mugobe recognize the company for the support saying that the sponsorship is a great motivator for the team.

Salima sugar provides K5.3 million kwacha to the team every month for the running of the club including providing high quality football kits, boots, training and match balls as well as football necessary training equipment to the club.

NYAMILANDU LAUNCHES TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Nyamilandu speaking to young stars Football Association of Malawi (Fam) President Walter Nyamilandu says the Fifa-funded Talent Development Scheme (TDS) will help improve national football team players. According to the Times Group, Nyamilandu, speaking during the launch of the scheme at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, said the scheme will facilitate the supply of quality players to the national football team.   “For a long time, we have failed to produce enough complete players for both the national team and export to top leagues abroad because we lacked players that have various attributes such as good physique, height and skills,” he said. BLANTYRE DURBY ENDS IN DRAW

During the game The first Blantyre derby of 2023 failed to produce a winner as Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a goalless draw by rival Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon. According to Malawi24 nomads dominated the first half while BB enjoyed the closing stage of the second half, but there was nothing to separate the two teams in full time.
