FLAMES MATCH TICKET SALES BEGINS




Football Association of Malawi has begined the seeling of tickets for the international freindly match between Flames and Lesotho to be hosted at Bingu National Stadium this saturday.

FAM dusclosed yesterday that the tickets are going at K2,000 and during the match day it will be K3,000 per ticket.

VIP tickets are sold at K8,000 whereas on the matchday it will go at K10,000.

Corporate Box tickets for ten people are going at K150,000 but it will get up to K200,000 on the matchday.

Speaking with the Times Group FAM commercial director Limbani Matola said the tickets were sent to all allocated places by weekend.

"We are monitoring trends on market. we are happy that people are excited to buy the tickets considering that this is the first match on home soil since june last year. Matolo Said.

According to Malawi24 the flames are having the match in preparation for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against egypt to take place on March 24 and 28.

One of the supporters, Jonathan Chikhawo, said that he is ready to buy a ticket for the match.

"We want to watch the team after a long time", he said.

After the match flames Coach Mario Marinica will travel with Malawi based players to Saudi Arabia for the two weeks camp.

According to the Times group, the flames are second in group D, behind Ethiopia while Guinea together with Egypt are third and fouth respectively.

NYAMILANDU LAUNCHES TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Nyamilandu speaking to young stars Football Association of Malawi (Fam) President Walter Nyamilandu says the Fifa-funded Talent Development Scheme (TDS) will help improve national football team players. According to the Times Group, Nyamilandu, speaking during the launch of the scheme at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, said the scheme will facilitate the supply of quality players to the national football team.   “For a long time, we have failed to produce enough complete players for both the national team and export to top leagues abroad because we lacked players that have various attributes such as good physique, height and skills,” he said. BLANTYRE DURBY ENDS IN DRAW

During the game The first Blantyre derby of 2023 failed to produce a winner as Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a goalless draw by rival Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
